Product details
Tapered roller bearings have tapered raceways and tapered rollers whose extended lines meet at a common point on the bearing axis. This lets them carry combined loads: heavy radial loads together with axial loads in one direction.
The inner ring assembly (cone) and the outer ring (cup) are separable and can be mounted independently. Two bearings are usually mounted opposite each other to carry axial loads in both directions, with clearance or preload set during mounting. SKF offers single row bearings, matched pairs, and double and four-row bearings for rolling mills.
