Product details
Spherical roller thrust bearings have barrel-shaped rollers inclined to the shaft axis, running on a sphered raceway in the housing washer. They carry very heavy axial loads in one direction and can also carry radial loads.
Thanks to the sphered raceway, the bearing self-aligns when the shaft is misaligned or the housing deforms, and it can run at relatively high speeds compared with other thrust bearing types. SKF Explorer bearings (suffix E) have higher load carrying capacity.
