Product details
In electric motors (especially inverter-driven ones) and generators, stray electric current can pass through the bearings, causing pitting and fluting on the raceways and rapidly degrading the grease. INSOCOAT bearings block this current with a plasma-sprayed aluminium oxide coating on the outer or inner ring.
Their boundary dimensions are identical to standard bearings, so they are direct replacements with no housing modification required. SKF produces INSOCOAT as medium and large deep groove ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings.
